Abstract/Citation
Deals with various aspects of asylum and immigration. Comprises 9 parts. Part 1 (s. 1-7) provides for migration-related offences, including trafficking people for exploitation. Part 2 (s. 8-13) deals with treatment of claimants. Part 3 (s. 14-18) regulates enforcement powers of immigration officers. Part 4 (s. 19-25) makes provision for procedure for marriage. Part 5 (s. 26-32) regulates appeals, Part 6 (s. 33-36) removal and detention, Part 7 (s. 37-41) immigration services, and Part 8 (s. 42-43) fees. Part 9 (s. 44-50) contains general provisions.
