Abstract/Citation: Made under Employment and Industrial Relations Act. Makes provision for equal treatment of part-time workers, and for improvement of quality of part-time work. Also aims at facilitating development of part-time work, and at contributing to flexible organisation of working time. Establishes duty of employer to ensure that part-time employee not be treated less favourably than comparable full-time worker. Differential treatment is allowed on objective grounds. Also deals with leave of part-timers, computation of pro-rata leave entitlement, entitlement to participate in vocational training, unfair dismissal of part-time employee as well as some related matters.
