| Abstract/Citation: | Amends Maternity and Parental Leave Regulations 1999 with respect to maternity leave and right to return from parental leave. Extends ordinary maternity leave from 18 to 26 weeks, and additional maternity leave so as to end 26 weeks from end of ordinary maternity leave. Employee qualifies for additional maternity leave if she has been continuously employed for at least 26 weeks at the beginning of 14th week before expected week of childbirth. Also makes minor amendments. |
