Second Region

Sets forth list of occupations for which women may not be employed. These include: underground work, work involving exposure to high temperature, work requiring great or continuous physical efforts, work involving exposure to dangerous vibrations, and work involving use or manufacturing of lead. Also contains list of activities for which pregnant women may not be employed. These include: occupations involving exposure to atomic or nuclear radiation or to X-rays, work which might expose woman worker to benzene smoke, work which exposes women to tetragenic substances, and work involving exposure to aniline dyes, carbon sulphate in the manufacture of silk or cellophane, hydrocarbons in oil refining, mercury, phosphorus, nitro-benzols, manganese, cadmium and beryllium.
