Abstract/Citation: |
Amends Employment (Maternity and Health and Safety Regulations) Regulations 1996 to implement Council Directive 96/34/EC on the framework agreement on parental leave. Provides that a parent shall be entitled to up to thirteen weeks of parental leave in order to care for a child aged up to five years. Also provides that an employee shall be entitled to special unpaid leave for urgent family reasons of up to five days per year. |
