Abstract/Citation
Implements Council Directive 96/98/EC on Marine Equipment. Provides that equipment to be placed on board UK ships and other ships of specified classes shall comply with the applicable standards of relevant international conventions. Also makes provision for assessment of compliance and for sanctions in case of breach of regulations.
