Amends Merchant Shipping (Safety) (Cargo Ship Construction and Survey) (Ships Built on or after 1 September 1984) Regulations so as to bring it into conformity with the new provisions of the International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea, 1974. Provides for seawater ballast tank corrosion prevention system, precautions against shock, fire and other hazards, and navigation bridge visibility. |
