Abstract/Citation
Defines special acts or omissions which can expose a ship or its passengers and crew to danger and are considered as penal offences when they are committed by professional seafarers and captains. Also establishes the acts and omissions which are considered as disciplinary offences, makes provisions for the creation and composition of the Merchant Marine's Disciplinary Council and allows for the temporary or a definite removal of a seafarer's professional identity card, the suspension of its force and/or the annulment of certificates of professional competency.
