Abstract/Citation
Establishes and consolidates the law governing contracts. Part One concerns the communication, acceptance and revocation of proposals. Establishes that the terms of contracts must come to the knowledge of the person to whom a contract is proposed and that acceptance must be clearly communicated to the proposer, be absolute and unqualified. Part Two governs contracts, voidable contracts and void agreements. Establishes that a contract is legitimate if is free of the use of coercion, undue influence, fraud, misrepresentation, or mistakes. Part Three concerns conditional contracts and regulates their enforcement. Part Four governs the performance of contracts. Provides for the time and place of performance, payments, obligations and contracts which need not be performed. Part Five governs certain relations resembling those created by contracts. Part Six provides for the consequences of breach of contract. Part Seven governs indemnities and guarantees. Part Eight concerns bailment. Part Nine governs agents. Provides for the appointment and authorities of agents. Regulates the appointment of sub-agents. Governs ratification. Part Ten repeals the Disposal of Found and Unclaimed Property Ordinance 1957.
