Second Region

Provides for the making of decisions and the determination of appeals under enactments relating to social security, child support, vaccine damage payments and war pensions. Makes further provisions with respect to social security and for connected purposes. Part One governs decisions and appeals in general. Establishes the functions of the Secretary of State with regard to decisions and appeals. Governs procedures, medical examinations, the suspension and termination of benefits, cases of error, industrial accidents and social fund payments. Makes special provisions regarding decisions on child support and vaccine damage payments. Part Two governs contributions. Makes various amendments to the Contributions and Benefits Act. Part Three governs benefits. Makes amendments to the rates of maternity allowance, rates of short term incapacity benefits, certain housing benefit determinations, and payments from the social fund. Part Four makes miscellaneous and supplemental provisions.
