Abstract/Citation: The Act sets out eligibility requirements for and amounts of social security cash benefits in case of sickness and maternity. Applies to persons covered by the social security system as determined by the Act of 13 October 1998 on the social security system. Provides for sickness benefits, rehabilitation benefits, compensatory benefits, postnatal allowances, maternity benefits and nursing benefits. Cash benefits for occupational accidents and disease are covered by a separate act. Repeals Act of 17 December 1974 on social security cash benefits in case of sickness or maternity.
