Abstract/Citation: Governs safety conditions in confined spaces, including chambers, vats, tanks, silos, and tunnels. Requires employers to conduct risk assessments for work to be carried out in confined spaces, to ensure safety precautions before and during such work, to provide protective equipment, and to prepare emergency procedures. Repeals the Factories and Industrial Undertakings (Confined Spaces) Regulations 1973.
