Second Region

Provides for the recognition and registration of trade unions. Trade unions must represent more than 50 per cent of the employees in an enterprise. If an employer refuses to recognize a trade union, the union may apply for compulsory recognition. S. 14 allows strikes or lock outs which arise out of a recognition dispute to be declared illegal. Repeals the Trade Unions (Recognition) Act (Cap. 96A).
