Abstract/Citation: This Act, which is divided into nine Chapters, provides for and protects the political, work-related, personal, marriage, family, property and cultural education rights and interests of women. Inter alia, guarantees women equal opportunity, equal pay for equal work (s. 23), and protection from dismissal on grounds of pregnancy or marital status. Prohibits prostitution and the persecution of baby girls or women who bear baby girls. S. 41 prohibits a spouse from divorcing a woman for a period of six months following birth control surgery.
