Prohibits discrimination regarding employment, membership, or access to facilities on the part of employers, trade unions, vocational training bodies and other public institutions on the basis of an "irrelevant conviction." An irrelevant conviction is defined as a conviction for a criminal offence which has no direct bearing on the matter at hand, or if a rehabilitation period has expired. For person over 17 years of age, the rehabilitation period shall be 10 years after conviction or completion of penal sentence; for persons under 17, the period shall be between 7 and 10 years. Also prohibits unlawful disclosure of information regarding irrelevant convictions.
