Abstract/Citation: Requires employers who carry out work with asbestos to identify the type of asbestos used and assess the degree of exposure. Requires that notice be given to the Commissioner for Labour regarding work done with asbestos. Employers shall reduce the exposure to asbestos when possible and provide respiratory protective equipment. Provides for air monitoring, training for workers, and medical surveillance of workers exposed to asbestos. S. 20 disallows employment of young persons in asbestos-related work. S. 21 prohibits the process of asbestos spraying and the use of asbestos insulation. Made under the Factories and Industrial Undertakings Ordinance (Cap. 59).
