Second Region

Consist of three parts: Part 1 (General provisions): defines terms scope of applicability in terms of substance and persons. All Nordic nationals are placed on an equal footing; Part 2 (Special provisions): section 5 (any Nordic language accepted in written communications with authorities in matters covered by the Convention), section 6 (right to immediate assistance for Nordic nationals), section 7 (restrictions on forced return of Nordic nationals on economic grounds), section 8 (assistance from authorities prescribed in case of changes of national domicile), section 9 (change of national domicile for persons with need for treatment or other assistance), section 10 (cross-border cooperation between communes close to borders prescribed concerning transportation of disabled and elderly persons), section 11 (rights related to child maintenance advance); Part 3 (Final provisions) Repeals section 30 of the Nordic Convention on Social Security of 15 June 1992.
