Abstract/Citation: Contains provisions concerning the obligations of the employer with regard to occupational health, safety and welfare (drafting of occupational safety reports, guidance and instruction of the employees, more specifically of young employees with respect to safety, reporting and registration of occupational accidents and diseases). Deals with the obligations of the employees (prudence and caution, medical examination). Lays down an obligation of cooperation and consultation between employer and employees. In enterprises where no works council is set up, a work environment commission composed of employees' representatives shall be established). Provides for expert services. Regulates the control of the Act by the Labour inspection and public authorities and provides for the establishment of a Tripartite Working Environment Council.
