Abstract/Citation: Makes numerous amendments to the Employment Act (Chapter 91 of the 1985 revised edition). Inter alia, amends definition of "domestic worker" to include drivers and gardners. S. 18 of the principal Act is amended by inserting a provision providing employment protection in the case of an enterprise takeover. Also substitutes s. 68 of the principal Act, prohibiting the employment of children except in family undertakings and "light" work in a non-industrial enterprise. Inserts a new subsection 84(2) relating to penalties for unfair dismissal, and inserts a new Third Schedule regulating the calculation of gross and basic rates of pay of an employee employed on a monthly rate or on piece rates. Finally, makes numerous technical amendments to the Industrial Relations Act (Chapter 136 of the 1985 revised edition).
