Abstract/Citation: A parent is entitled to leave for one child at a time if the child is under 2 years of age and does not have public day care during the period of parental leave. If the child is between 3 to 8 years of age, the child is entitled to half days in public day care. A prerequisite for parental leave is an agreement between the employer and the worker. Full-time or part-time leave may be taken.
