Abstract/Citation: | The Republic of Croatia is a democratic and social state (Art. 1). Forced labour is forbidden (Art. 23) and freedom of association is guaranteed (Art. 43). Everyone has the right to work and is free to choose his vocation and occupation (Art. 54). All employers and employees have the right to form employers' organisations and trade unions and freely join and leave them (Art. 59). The right to strike is guaranteed (Art. 60). International agreements concluded and ratified in accordance with the Constitution and made public are part of the Republic's internal legal order and are with respect to their legal effect above the law. |
