Second Region

The Act pertains generally to the establishment and regulation of trade unions. Part II excludes from the definition of trade unions certain staff associations and employees organizations. Part III describes the appointment of a government registrar and other officers. Part IV sets forth provisions for the registration of particular unions. Part V describes the rights and duties of trade unions and Part VI regulates the constitution thereof. Parts VII and VIII describe rules relating to the property, funds and accounts of unions. Part IX pertains to picketing, intimidation and other matters relating to disputes. Part XI deals with offences and penalties. Consolidates text from 1952 to 1970.
