Second Region

Amends the Social Security Act 1975 and the Social Security (Severe Disablement Allowance) Regulations 1984. Regulation 2 provides that for the purposes of section 36(4) of the Act those living abroad serving in the armed forces, and their families, shall be treated as being resident and present in Great Britain. Regulation 3 specifies the circumstances under which a person shall be treated under section 36A of the Act as having qualified for severe disablement allowance.
