قانون رقم 1 لسنة 2017 بشأن تعديل بعض احكام قانون الاحداث الصادر بالقانون 111 لسنة 2015
Abstract/Citation
This Law raises the age of minors from 16 to 18 years.
The criminal penalties are applied to people who are 18 years and above, while special penalties are applied to those under 18 years.
Juveniles between the age of 15 and 18 years and committed crimes punshiable by death or life imprisonment, shall not be sentenced to such penalty, the sentence in such cases shall be imprisonment for a period that shall not exceed fifteen year.
If a Juveniles committed a crime punshible by imprisonment, he shall be sentenced to imprisonment not exceeding half of the legal maximum period, and he shall not be fined.
