Abstract/Citation: No sailor is allowed to work on an Omani ship, unless he gets a sailor identity certificate.
Candidates for the identity should be above 18 years and certified fit by a medical establishment approved by the Ministry, the should have certificates and qualifications issued or approved by the Marine authorities.
The Sailors Identity Certificate is valid for five years from its issuance.
