For the purposes of better harmonizing national legislation with article 31 paragraph 3 of the European Parliament and Council Directive 2004/38/EC of 29 April 2004 on the right of citizens of the Union and their family members to move and reside freely within the territory of the Member States amending Regulation (EEC) N° 1612/68 and repealing Directives 64/221/EEC, 68/360/EEC, 72/194/EEC, 73/148/EEC, 75/34/EEC, 75/35/EEC, 90/364/EEC, 90/365/EEC and 93/69/EEC, as recently amended by European Parliament and Council Regulation (EU) N° 492/2011 of 5 April 2011 on freedom of movement for workers within the Union, the present Law amends the Laws N° 7(I) of 2007, 181(I) of 2011, 8(I) and 67(I) of 2013 on the right of European Union citizens and their family members to move and reside freely within the territory of the Republic of Cyprus (Amendment).

Article 2 of the present Law amends article 2 by replacing the definition of the term "competent authority".
Article 3 supplements the Law by adding new article 3A entitled "Exercise of power and execution of duties of public officials".
Article 4 amends the wording of the 3rd phrase of article 32, regarding the type of appeal to be lodged before a set deadline.
Article 5 supplements the Law by adding new article 32A on the administrative remedy before the hierarchical superior authority.
Article 6 amends article 33 by replacing its 1st phrase with new one regarding the right to lodge an appeal before the Supreme Court.
