Testimonials from Ukraine

"We sincerely want to help people, and make them feel hopeful"

Ella Albanska’s company participated in packaging and distribution of food for families in need, many of them fleeing from areas affected by the war. With ILO support, the Federation of Employers of Ukraine organized a country-wide effort to engage Ukrainian companies in the manufacturing of humanitarian aid packages.

"In the spring 2022, soon after the war broke out, our company started to pack food kits and everyday essentials to help families. We packed about 3,500 kits in total. I am happy that we helped Ukrainians, especially when there was a significant shortage of first-aid products in the territories most affected by the fighting. It is also encouraging to think that these packages are completely "made in Ukraine", because all the products from flour to canned food were produced and packed by Ukrainian hands at our enterprise. That is why I am also sure about their good quality. My colleagues and I made these packages; we sincerely wanted to help people, and to make them feel hopeful and that they are supported by the entire country.

On the other hand, orders for Ukrainian companies mean that their employees, such as us, will continue to have a job and an opportunity to provide for their families and pay taxes. This is great support for the Ukrainian economy. Ukraine works and it will definitely win!”
