Final Conference of the UN Joint Programme “Youth Employment and Migration”
To mark the successful completion of the United Nations Joint Programme “Youth Employment and Migration” (YEM), funded by the Spanish Millennium Development Goals Achievement Fund (MDG-F), a final conference was organized on 24 April 2012 in Belgrade, Serbia, presenting the significant results, achievements and potential way forward in addressing the youth employment and migration challenges of the country.
Participants included representatives of the relevant ministries, the Embassy of the Kingdom of Spain, UN agencies involved, as well as National Employment Service specialists. The Conference focused on the presentation of the results achieved in the field of employment, social protection and management of migration. At the end, the programme evaluation findings were presented and recommendations were made for future steps.
