Raymond Torres, Director of the ILO Research Department, will give a lecture on rising social unrest and inequalities in Europe, on the basis of the key findings of the World of Work Report 2013

World of Work Report

The 2013 edition of the "World of Work Report" analyses the global employment situation five years after the start of the global financial crisis. The authors look at labour market performance and projections both at the global and regional levels. The report found that social unrest increased in a majority of economies. Insufficient economic growth and high unemployment rates were the two most important determinants. Advanced economies have, on average, had the highest social unrest index score.
