Labour inspection policy and occupational safety and health systems in Qatar

The ILO supports the continuous efforts of the Government of Qatar to uphold workers health and safety. The joint programme of the ILO and the Ministry of Labour (MOL) provides policy and strategic advice to promote a culture of prevention on OSH by strengthening national institutional capacities and by encouraging and facilitating collaboration between relevant stakeholders. The proper application of labour legislation depends on an effective labour inspectorate. The MOL-ILO programme seeks to enhance the efficiency, quality and impact of labour inspection services in Qatar.
