Iraq’s Deputy Minister of Labour: the new social security law will help support the private sector and strengthen workers’ rights

On the sidelines of a workshop for high-level Iraqi officials organized by the ILO to support the Government of Iraq in drafting its new social security law, we speak to Iraq’s Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Affairs Abdel Karim Al-Janabi on the importance of the new law which, once adopted, will be the first to cover all public and private sector workers in Iraq.
