SORAL to Adopt Code of Conduct for Recruiting Migrant Domestic Workers

The Syndicate of Owners of Recruitment Agencies in Lebanon (SORAL) announces the adoption of a Code of Conduct and Monitoring Mechanism for the recruitment of migrant domestic workers

The Syndicate of Owners of Recruitment Agencies in Lebanon (SORAL) will announce the adoption of a Code of Conduct and Monitoring Mechanism for the recruitment of migrant domestic workers at a press conference organized by Caritas Lebanon’s Migrant Center at 4:00pm on Thursday, June 6 at La Sagesse University.

This announcement comes as part of the International Labour Organization – PROWD project that promotes the rights of women domestic workers in Lebanon. The project is funded by the EU and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.

Participants will include the Ministry of Labour, SORAL, and Caritas Lebanon’s Migrant Center, as well as the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCR) and the ILO.
