Responsible Labour Practices in Global Supply Chains

A Webinar for Masters students in Nottingham University Business School China.

Together with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China, the ILO Country Office for China and Mongolia through the Responsible Supply Chains in Asia Programme jointly organized a webinar for Masters students of Supply Chains Management in Nottingham University Business School China.

Mr. Fredy Guayacan, Programme Manager of Responsible Supply Chains in Asia, of the ILO Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, introduced students to the concept of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)/Responsible Business Conduct(RBC) in global supply chains, the main international policy frameworks, as well as some specific experiences from the company level.

The webinar helped students getting familiar with the concepts of RBC and CSR, socially responsible labour practices in global supply chains, their complexity, challenges to deal with labour issues as well as the opportunities for businesses.

Students actively joined the discussions on the related labour topics and got deeper understanding of responsible labour practices in global supply chains.
