This paper presents an analysis of “demand” as a background for research, discussion and direct action atthe destination side in the trafficking issue. It aims to clarify what is meant by demand in the context of labour exploitation and provide useful guidance to an area that otherwise can be subject to multiple and conflicting interpretation.
