A total of 41 trade union leaders and focal points (12 females) participated in the consultation workshop representing national and sectoral workers’ organizations in Cambodia on 21 December 2022. The representatives from Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training were invited to present this draft of Law during the workshop. This draft law consisted of 12 Chapters and 68 articles which aimed to define a comprehensive and unified system of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Cambodia in order to develop competent human resources with occupational and professional skills to contribute to the improvement of people's livelihood and socio-economic status.

This workshop served a good opportunity for trade unions to engage in skills legislation process. Based on the result of the workshop, the NTUC would further review this draft law and submit formal inputs to MLVT in early 2023.
