To facilitate young people’s entrance to the labour market and provide a convenient platform for all relevant stakeholders to meet during and after Covid-19 pandemic, the ILO/China Partnership Programme has supported NEA to organize this job fair with the aim to provide a platform for employers, training providers and jobseekers for employment promotion and skills development. It also provides first-hand information on skills training opportunities.

His Excellency Hay Hun Leng, the delegate of Royal Government in charge as Director General of National Employment Agency of the Ministry of Labor and Vocational Training, said: “Today's job fair is held at the right time with flexibility, interconnection and high sense of responsibility as an intermediary of employment services, aiming to enhance the process and facilitate all stakeholders in the labor market to get the maximum benefits from the provision of public employment services of the Royal Government”.

As a result, there were 22 large scale enterprises which participated in this 2-day event to present their recruitment policy, HR policy and job vacancies. This job fair attracted 3,000 visitors. Furthermore, about 3,200 job vacancies were announced during this event and 1,644 job applications with CVs were received on the spot. There were 288 job seekers who got interview immediately with employers and 131 job placements were successfully made.

In parallel with the job fair, NEA also conducted Knowledge and Experience Sharing Forum on Pre-employment Orientation with 1036 participants, including women, youth, returned migrant workers etc.
