ILO/China Partnership Programme

TOT in Hospitality and Tourism Sector in Cambodia Successfully Initiated

In collaboration with Ministry of Tourism in Cambodia, ILO/China Partnership Programme initiated a Training of Trainers Programme on Food and Beverage Services from 21 - 26 February 2022 in Siem Reap Province of Cambodia.

A total of 24 (12 females) master trainers, selected by Ministry of Tourism, has successfully completed the course. Furthermore, these graduated master trainers shared their knowledge and trained other 116 tourism professionals (67 females) in their workplace through in-house training. This TOT is a key initiative of MOT promoting skills development for sectoral recovery from Covid-19 pandemic.
The closing and certificate ceremony was held on 30 March 2022 and presided by H.E Pak Sokhum, Secretary of State and Chairman of HoKa (Hospitality Cambodia) Steering Committee, H.E Oeng Kimleang, Deputy Provincial Governor of Siem Reap province.
Total of 70 participants of officials of provincial tourism departments, representatives from, tourism agencies, TVET schools and ILO-China Partnership Programme were present at the certificate ceremony. 
On behalf of MOT, H.E Pak Sokhum highly encouraged all master trainers, who have successfully completed the course to share their knowledge and skills to more of their co-workers.
