Seventh Tripartite Regional Seminar on Industrial Relations in the ASEAN Region: “Current Situation of Industrial Relations in the ASEAN Region and Promoting Social Dialogue within Enterprises”

With the continued support from Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the ASEAN Secretariat, this Tripartite Regional Seminar aims to provide opportunities for governments, workers and employers of ASEAN member countries to discuss the issues concerning current situation of industrial relations and social dialogue within enterprises and share laws and regulations as well as knowledge and experience to develop better industrial relations and strengthen social dialogue within enterprises.

Keynote speeches and presentations from different countries from the aspects of (i) ILO Policy recommendation and its advocacy; (ii) international and regional good practices where workers and employers have come to an agreement through social dialogue; (iii) sharing country experience and knowledge including Japan’s case; and (iv) advantage of sound industrial relations and social dialogue within enterprises, and a special session for the dissemination of the lessons learned from the employment and labour measures for recovery from the Great East Japan Earthquake as international public resources will be the highlights of the two day seminar.
