The ILO and Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training in Cambodia have launched the country's first Decent Work Country Profile, as part of the EU-funded project "Monitoring and Assessing Progress on Decent Work" (MAP). The Profile draws upon statistical and legal data to assess recent labour market developments in Cambodia, and makes preliminary assessment of progress for use in policymaking and development planning.

    Por Mach is a member of the Tumpoun tribe in Rattanakiri, Cambodia. As a 46-year-old widow with six children it was hard to earn enough to live. But with the help of the ILO’s Creative Industry Support Programme, she improved her skills and increased her income.

    A 2-day training on Child Labour Monitoring System for Cambodia is organized by Department of Child Labour, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training with support from ILO IPEC TBP Support Project. This training participated by 35 representatives from ministry of labour and vocational training, department of non-formal education of ministry of education, provincial department of labour and vocational training, provincial department of education, workplace monitors, community monitors, local NGOs.

  3. Launching Trade Union Code of Conduct on Child Labour and Trade Union Forums Against Child Labour

    24 July 2012

    Launching Trade Union Code of Conduct on Child Labour and Trade Union National Forums Against Child Labour is organized by Inter- Trade Union Committee Against Child Labour (ITUCL) supporting by ILO IPEC TBP suppot project. This Launching and Forum event would be participated by 45 trade union leaders and representatives from the five confederation and two non-affiliated trade union federations in Cambodia. Numbers of medias and journalists are invited to participate in the event and in a press conference organize in a break time of the launching. The event would be discussed on the role and responsibilities of the trade unions in the action against child labour at the workplaces.
