  3. Study Visit on Unemployment Insurance and Employment Services

    24 - 26 July 2012

    The study visit will take the participants to the institutions responsible for the implementation of the unemployment insurance scheme in Thailand, including the public employment services.

  4. Training on Child Labour Monitoring System for Cambodia, for the central zone provinces: Kampong Cham, Kratie, Steung Treng, Ratanakiri, Mondulkiri, Svay Rieng, Prey Veng, Kandal and Phnom Penh.

    19 - 20 July 2012

    A 2-day training on Child Labour Monitoring System for Cambodia is organized by Department of Child Labour, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training with support from ILO IPEC TBP Support Project. This training participated by 45 representatives from ministry of labour and vocational training, department of non-formal education of ministry of education, ministry of interior, provincial department of labour and vocational training, provincial department of education, workplace monitors, community monitors, local NGOs.

  5. The challenge of getting a job in Cambodia

    Unemployment in Cambodia is very low, but that’s because the vast majority of the population works in the informal sector. The government hopes ILO-backed job centres will help increase access to decent work.

    A 2-day training on Child Labour Monitoring System for Cambodia is organized by Department of Child Labour, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training with support from ILO IPEC TBP Support Project. This training participated by 52 representatives from ministry of labour and vocational training, department of non-formal education of ministry of education, provincial department of labour and vocational training, provincial department of education, workplace monitors, community monitors, local NGOs.

  7. Workshop for developing of a Strategic Framework and Plan of Action for 2013-2017 for Civil Society Network Against Child Labour (CSNACL)

    5 July 2012

    A One day Workshop for developing of a Strategic Framework and Plan of Action for 2013-2017 for Civil Society Network Against Child Labour (CSNACL) has organized supported by ILO IPEC TBP. This workshop participated by 38 representatives from CSNACL national level and from 7 of CSNACL provincial chapter in Banteay Meanchey, Siem Reap, Battambang, Kampong Cham, Kampot, Kep and Preah Sihanouk.

  1. Report of the ILO/Trade Union National Conference

    The conference was held at Inter-Continental Hotel, Phnom Penh Cambodia during 27-28 June 2012. It aimed to address workers' deep concerns on the widespread use of Fixed Duration Contracts (FDC) in Cambodia undermining labour rights and trade union rights; to strengthen union unity and solidarity among local, provincial and national unions for bringing changes in the system; to adopt a plan of action for a nationwide campaign for safer employment conditions and relations.

  2. ILO/Trade Union National Conference on current employment contract practices and the need for its changes

    27 - 28 June 2012

    The Conference was attended by more than 90 unionists from the confederations and trade unions in the four provinces, CAMFEBA, MoLVT, the Arbitration Council, and ILO.   3. ILO signs US$1,140,000 partnership with Korean Government

    The ILO and the Government of the Republic of Korea have signed an agreement that will provide US$1,140,000, as well as technical expertise, to support the development of decent work in more than 15 Asian countries.
