Implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO) Office for Türkiye, ISMEP increases job opportunities and continues to match vacancies on the market with required skill sets by supporting the improvement of vocational skills of workers. Through ISMEP, Turkish citizens and Syrians under Temporary Protection (SuTPs) are employed formally right from the first day; and acquire the skills in demand in the labour market through on-the-job training.

Currently implemented in Adana, Ankara, Bursa, Denizli and Gaziantep to support job-seekers and employers, ISMEP is implemented by the Strategy Development Unit of Küçükçekmece Municipality in Istanbul. Those placed in jobs under the programme receive technical and vocational training at their workplaces.

All job-seekers of age 18 and above may apply to the ISMEP programme, with women, youth and persons with disabilities particularly encouraged.

Marked for implementation in Küçükçekmece and environs in Istanbul, the ISMEP programme receives applications from other districts, and covers any job position in any sector.

JOB-SEEKERS WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN ISMEP PROGRAMME

Documentation and information required for application:

1. Photocopy of identity certificate for Turkish citizens; photocopy of temporary protection identity certificate for Syrians
2. SGK registration and detailed service record (available through e-Devlet portal)
3. Photocopy of the disability report, where the applicant is a person with disabilities
4. Phone number of the applicant, and alternative number where s/he cannot be reached
5. E-mail address.

ENTERPRISES WISHING TO PARTICIPATE IN ISMEP PROGRAMME

Requirements for eligibility participation in the Programme:

• Be enterprises which need new, additional workers
• Have capacity to support vocational training development at workplace
• Aim to retain participants in jobs following the ISMEP programme
• Obtain work permits for Syrian participants and register them with Social Security Institution (SSI)
• Register Turkish citizens with SSI

Documentation and information required for application:

1. Tax certificate
2. Certificate of registration with Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen or Trade Registry
3. SSI insurees service list.
