ILO Director-General visits Turkey

ILO Director-General Guy Ryder’s visit marks a first highest level visit by an ILO Director-General to Ankara after 22 years

ILO Director-General Guy Ryder, accompanied by a high level delegation from the ILO, will pay a visit to Turkey on 1-5 September 2015, also marking a first highest level visit by an ILO Director-General to Ankara after 22 years.

Ryder will participate in the G20 Labour and Employment Ministers’ Meeting as well as the Joint Meeting of G20 Finance and Labour Ministers on 3-4 September 2015.

The Director-General will also undertake consultations with the tripartite constituents of the ILO; government, employers’ and workers’ representatives, to exchange views and discuss recent developments and challenges on world of work both in Turkey and at the global level.

ILO is the only agency within the UN with its tripartite structure, bringing together governments, employers’ and workers’ representatives, and active participant to the G20 process.
