News | 10 August 2021

Last week, the ILO Office for Turkey came together with the partners and volunteers of Cemre Women’s Cooperative to deliver “Occupational Safety and Health Training.” Translated also into Arabic and Persian, the training involved detailed presentations to create and maintain a safe working environment for all.

Conducted in two sessions, the training programme attracted significant attention. Trainees acquired knowledge on the basic concepts of Occupational Safety and Health, relevant legislation, occupational diseases and work accidents, and practical principles on prevention and protection.

This recent training session, and other previous ones, aim to raise the awareness of participants on Occupational Safety and Health under the project “Decent Work Opportunities for Refugees and Host Communities in Turkey” funded by the United States Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration (USPRM).
