The Work-Based Learning (WBL) Programme, locally known as İŞMEP, is a support scheme implemented as part of the project on “Promoting Decent Work for Syrians under Temporary Protection and Turkish Citizens”. The project is funded by the Federal Republic of Germany through the KfW Development Bank and implemented by the ILO Office for Turkey in coordination with the Directorate-General for International Labour Force (DGILF) of the Ministry of Labour and Social Security (MoLSS). With the WBL programme jobseekers gain access to vocational training and formal employment, whereas employers benefit from a more qualified workforce.
