  2. Ethiopia and ILO sign an MOU to support Domestic Migrant Workers to the Gulf States, Lebanon and Sudan

    The Government of Ethiopia and the International Labour Organization (ILO) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in Addis Ababa to implement an EU-funded project designed to develop a tripartite framework for the support and protection of Ethiopian women domestic migrant workers to the GCC States (Gulf Cooperation Council which includes Saudi Arabia, Qatar, UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Kuwait), Lebanon and Sudan.

    The Employers' Consultative Association of Malawi (ECAM), with technical support of the ILO, completed an assessment of the Enabling Environment for Sustainable Enterprises (EESE) in Malawi. The final report and an action plan were presented at a high-level tripartite dissemination event held on 7 March, 2013 in Lilongwe.
