A two-day workshop on labour-based approaches was held in Abuja, Nigeria, from 1st-2nd June 2011 under the theme: Mainstreaming Labour-Based Technology in Government Operations to develop strategies for mainstreaming these approaches in government infrastructural development in Nigeria.

HIV Voluntary Counselling and Testing programme

A workshop was held to support the Chirundu Hot Springs Savings and Credit Cooperative (SACCO) to carry out a HIV Voluntary Counselling and Testing (VCT) programme and to recruit more members. Making business easier: Towards the Red Tape reduction initiative in South Africa

The Mangaung Metro Municipality hosted South Africa’s business community for a general discussion on Red Tape issues for businesses operating in the Metro area. The estimated annual cost of red tape to South African SMMEs is excessive and South Africa is looking at best ways and means to improve its business environment.
