Business and disability

The ILO Global Business and Disability Network is a unique worldwide network to promote disability inclusion in the workplace. Since 2010, the ILO has facilitated the Network, providing technical expertise to its members and directly supporting its activities through the Network Secretariat.

The ILO believes that by participating in such a network, companies will benefit from more diverse workforces, improved productivity, reduced turnover, safer workplaces and increased customer service and community brand loyalty. Employer and Business Membership Organizations (EBMOs) will also increase their capacity to address their members' needs related to disability diversity, corporate social responsibility, legal adherence and human resources.

The ILO Global Business and Disability Networks consists of multinational enterprises, EBMOs, national business and disability networks, civil society organizations and academia. Its company members have signed the Global Business and Disability Network Charter and thereby commit to its ten disability inclusion principles.
