Strong, independent and representative employer and business membership organizations (EBMOs) give enterprises a collective voice and help shape policies that support sustainable enterprises, jobs and economic and social progress.

The ILO Bureau for Employers’ Activities (ACT/EMP) works directly with EBMOs across ILO member States to strengthen their capacity, representativeness and influence. We help them respond to the evolving needs of their members, engage effectively in policy and social dialogue, and bring employers’ views, concerns and priorities into the work of the ILO.
