Andrea Cuba Sanchez joined the ILO Office for the United States in Washington, DC in 2007 as communications and information assistant. She contributes to the implementation of the strategic communications efforts to enhance the ILO’s engagement with stakeholders, she also contributes in supporting the planning, coordinating, and organizing of events and is the IT Focal Point for the Office.

Prior to joining the ILO Office for the United States, she spent 4 years in the ILO Office in Brasilia, Brazil as an administrative assistant for the Program for Institutional Strengthening on Gender and Racial Equality, Eradication of Poverty and Generation of Employment (GRPE).

Ms. Sanchez holds a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Brasilia, Brazil. She speaks Portuguese, Spanish and Turkish and is conversant in French.
