Working Conditions Laws 2006-2007

Given the significance of working conditions laws, it is essential to track their development in domestic legal regimes. This report contributes to such efforts by reviewing the extent and content of three of the primary working conditions standards: wages, working hours and maternity protection. It examines the working conditions laws of more than 100 countries across all regions, drawing on the International Labour Organization’s Database of Conditions of Work and Employment (http://www.ilo.org/dyn/travail/travmain.home).
